Phalaenopsis orchids thrive in the same indoor temperatures that we do and this why they are so easy to grow. For a healthy, happy plant, provide a daytime temperature between 66°F and 85°F, and a night-time temperature above 60°F. 

 

●What climate is too cold for orchids?
Temperatures between 60° and 85° F are the ideal for orchids. If temperature drops under 60° F for some time, most orchids should be OK, but at least try keep them for over than 40° F.



What is the most suitable temperature to your orchids?

Orchids native to the humid tropics, such as phalaenopsis and paphiopedilum, prefer daytime temperatures of 73° to 85°F, with 80 to 90 percent humidity. They are happiest in an east or southeast window where the light is not too intense.


 

Do orchids like strong sun?
Orchid can grow well in strong light, but avoid direct sunlight is ideal. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves. Location with indirect light from an eastern or southern window is the perfect location for them.
